Health e Medical Centre Geelong

Your Geelong medical clinic

Health e Medical Centre opened at 258 Shannon Avenue, Geelong West in 2005.  This Medical Centre was an amalgamation of two previously established medical practices, Shannon Avenue Medical Centre and Geelong West Medical Centre. There was a further expansion in 2013 which offers our patients a comprehensive, professional and family friendly medical and health centre proudly servicing Geelong.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land the Wadawurrang People of the Kulin Nations.  We pay our respects to them, their culture and their Elders, past, present and emerging.

Health E welcomes diversity, including diversity of race, culture, spirituality, gender, identity, ability and sexuality.  We seek to provide a safe and inclusive place for all people.

“We are a one stop wellness centre housing a 7 day a week pharmacy and pathology centre striving to provide the best care possible for all of our patients.”

It is essential that our Medical Centre is a safe place for our patients and team. In our response to COVID-19 we have implemented a number of measures and practices to minimise risk some of these include:

  • Pre-appointment screenings
  • Triaging of patients with cold/flu like symptoms who are seen in our separate respiratory clinic
  • A separate entrance to the respiratory clinic
  • Hand sanitizer available for patient’s use
  • Increased cleaning
  • Plastic shields to separate reception staff and patients
  • Telehealth appointments for patients who are unable to attend the clinic for a number of reasons

It is important that you continue with your regular medical appointments and treatment to ensure that your health is being managed.

If you have any questions or concerns in regards to the measures that have been implemented please contact reception on 03 5223 9999.

Our practice has dedicated Covid-19 vaccination clinics with select appointments available.

If you wish to receive the vaccine, we are encouraging all patients to book online. We also encourage you to help any family members who need assistance with booking.

There will be an opportunity to discuss the vaccination with the staff prior to receiving it at this appointment.

If you are needing further information please contact us on 03 5223 9999. We are expecting a large demand for information and vaccination, so please be patient with us during this time.

Health E Medical Centre requires everyone to make and appointment (face to face or telehealth) for ALL INVESTIGATION RESULTS, including blood tests and imaging results.  This is to ensure that we provide you with the most comprehensive medical care.  If your results are normal, but your problem persists, you may require further investigations or a referral.  It is our policy not to email of fax results due to privacy laws.

We may need to contact you via, SMS, phone, email or mail, it is essential that your contact details are up-to date.

Our online appointments are managed through an interactive booking system called Automed. If you’re an existing patient you can book online.

We have 13 doctors working at the practice, with 10 practice nurses supporting our doctors and assisting patients.

We strive to provide the best holistic health care possible for all of our patients.

Health e Medical Centre takes it very seriously if a member of reception, one of the doctors, nursing team or allied health professional is treated in an abusive or violent way.

Our team are trained and dedicated to serve you and you will be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.  In return, we request that receptionists, nurses, doctors and allied health professionals are treated with the same courtesy and respect.

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to any verbal, aggressive and violent abuse and behaviour towards our team. We respectfully advise you that abuse and or violence will not be tolerated. If required the Police will be called and may result in the person concerned being removed from our practice.
