Movember at Health e, Geelong
In November this year, we had GP and Allied Health participants in the ‘Movember Challenge’ at Health e Medical Centre in Geelong.
The Movember foundation is the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of Men’s health. They require donations to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men, such as….
- Prostate cancer
- Testicular cancer
- Poor mental health
- Physical inactivity
GP’s Dr Michael Carroll and Dr John Newman, Podiatrist Matt Payton, and Physiotherapists Nick Williams and Matt Townley, grew a moustache over the course of the month to draw much needed attention to the issue of Men’s Health.
The fundraising event was a huge success and provided a lot of entertainment at Health e over the month of November.
A total of $2000 was raised in donations, with the generosity of staff and patients adding to the amazing amount.
Congratulations to all who participated! Especially Nick Williams who was voted “Best Mo” and Matt Townley who had great success in the amount of money raised.
Health e is proud to support initiatives such as Movember. Shining a much needed light on the area of Men’s health in Geelong.
