Change in weather in the Geelong region

With the current change in weather you may experience flu and cold like symptoms, including coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, fever, chills and sweats or loss of smell.

Whilst these may be symptoms of coronavirus, we are also seeing an increase in the number of flu cases and other respiratory conditions as well.  You are our number one priority and we are here to ensure that you stay healthy.

We provide all patients presenting with these symptoms a thorough assessment, to avoid any complications that may occur from your cold or flu. Our Doctors are also well equipped to test for coronavirus if you meet criteria, to help provide you with peace of mind.

Frequent hand washing is a simple and effective way to prevent the spread of respiratory infections like colds, flu, coronavirus, diarrhoea, and other infectious conditions. Some germs are easily transmissible from person to person when we come into contact with one another. It’s easy to transfer germs from your hands to your nose, eyes, and mouth, if you touch them. This can get you sick. Wash your hands with soap under running water.

Scrub the fronts and backs of your hands as well as in between fingers. Antibacterial soap and hand sanitiser may provide additional protection against microorganisms. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that is at least 60% alcohol for times when you don’t have access to soap and water.
