Katrina graduated in The Netherlands Europe as a Physiotherapist and Lymphoedema Therapist in 1997. She has worked in a broad range of clinical settings, including neurological/orthopaedic rehabilitation, oncology, musculoskeletal, palliative and geriatric care. She returned to Australia in 2006 and worked at the Epworth Hospital, Richmond and St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne before relocating to Geelong in 2011. The last 10 + years she has established her successful private practice Pro-Body Physiotherapy and Lymphoedema Clinic here at Health E Allied.
Katrina has extensive specialist experience in oncology and lymphoedema, as well as musculoskeletal rehabilitation and is a highly skilled practitioner. If you have lymphoedema, lipoedema, mixed oedema or swelling associated with injury or surgery or other causes Katrina can help you.
She has state of the art equipment which is unique in Geelong. The Lymphscanner, which can measure `local’ oedema making it highly specific for diagnosis. The Physio/Lymphatouch negative pressure device and Riancorp Laser treatment all help to maximize and improve healing. Common post-surgical complaints such as scar management, cording (painful pulling) musculoskeletal tendinitis, bursitis and numerous other aliments respond well to these non-invasive treatment options.
Katrina participates in regular professional development, conferences and seminars. She is a 10+ year recognised member of The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), The Australian Lymphoedema Association (ALA) and can be found on the National Lymphoedema Practitioner Register (NLPR).
